I was suggested by a friend to have the first round of the battles begin by all the contestants composing original tracks from 'provided' samples. This will definately bring out the originality of each contestants, production skills, etc... how does this sound for more and more upcoming battles?

I thought this is a brilliant idea. Deja vu. Must be. Just agree on a set of samples, post them on a server, have contestants download them. It could even be like some type of production theme. Along with event theme. Once this evolves, which it is, extremely fast. More and more people want in. How do you get everyone in. TAG TEAMS. Two mixers set up on stage < into the main mixer < on each mixer/table/stand two contestant's mix together there work [8minutes], giving time for the last to clear there stuff, and the next two set up < each team smoothy flowing from one to the other < plus it could be like a theme dance night, where each team has to compose dance rhythms using samples agree upon and downloaded either an mc or a laptop dj to fill empty spaces, or there does not have to be empty space's. AGAIN THIS WOULD TAKE LOTS OF PLANNING AND TIME, NOT TO MENTION TEAMS WOULD HAVE TO PREP UP IN ADVANCE, GOOD THEME FOR ANOTHER PDX VS. SEATTLE REMATCH!!!!!! peace c u in Vancouver latest track denial ~ check it out www.djphiberoptix.com/trax.htm
