hey all... i've been doing live performances using my laptop for quite a few years now. i like the idea of a minimal setup (i usually can fit my entire set up into a duffle bag), but i'm wondering how far you could push the envelope.
what if you bring in a soundcard that has a controller built in? lets say the hercules dj console... lots of knobs and buttons, but it has a external soundcard footprint. would it be permissible to use it in a battle?
another thought...
what about running a mic into a laptop and running effects on the input signal? would this be permissible and/or have other people tried this? with asio there are a LOT of possibilities for enhancing a live set there.
