ummmm...my first reaction is to say no...but when i think about it for a while, i can't think of a good reason for this reaction. of course, it's not a laptop. this is where i see this culture spinning off into the future, hopefully validating the use of new technology to make music with. i would say..."organize a night of musicians who use these things"

A little off topic but someone had told me you could use a gameboy as a midi sequencer, like the old mac programs opcode vision etc. Crazy shit, i bet sonys psp could do some stuff also, there alot of hacks coming out for it...

There's a great app for Mac OS 10 called JunXion, it's $30 but it lets you turn USB game controllers into MIDI controllers, I've tried it with a few programs and it's really fun, especially setting the analog stick as the modulation. It makes for small and easily portable MIDI triggering...perfect for battles.
